Trust and safety
How DogWalkWeather helps you decide when to head out
DogWalkWeather is a practical UK dog walking tool. It combines local weather signals with breed-related comfort factors so you can answer simple questions: is it a good walk now, should we wait, and are the paws coming home muddy?
What affects guidance
- Current temperature and dog feels-like temperature
- Rain chance, recent wet conditions, and muddy ground risk
- Wind speed, especially for small or nervous dogs
- Breed profile, coat type, size, and heat or cold sensitivity
- UK seasonal conditions such as hot pavements, winter chill, and damp parks
What the tool does not do
It does not diagnose health problems, replace veterinary advice, or know your dog's medical history, age, fitness, or behaviour on the day.
Use the recommendation as a safety-minded prompt. If your dog looks unwell, distressed, overheated, injured, or unusually tired, contact a vet.
Weather data source
The live weather check uses forecast data for the selected UK city. When live data is temporarily unavailable, the interface may show a forecast estimate so the tool still renders, but safety decisions should be checked again before a real walk.
